suicidal hamsters and english lessons.
Apr. 15th, 2010 12:36 pmapparently, my hamster Emo is somewhat suicidal.
I was standing around in my room yesterday, stroking Emo, who was sitting on my hand, and talking to Nicole, when suddelny Emo just jumped clear out of my hand - no warning or anything, and she's never done that before.
She landed on her side, screamed like she was dying, and started to piss all over the place. I was scared shitless. It took a few second, then she got herself together, and disappeared unter my bed. Apparently, she's fine, though. She walks completely normally, and we couldn't feel anything wrong or see any reaction - other than her usual bitchiness, of course, because she really is a little bitchy - when we were feeling her all over. This little beast is out to get me, I tell you. first the thing where she ran under the wardrome and didn't find her way out again, and yesterday this stunt. God.
In other news, I had to hold a lesson all by myself yesterday. Grade 3, English. It went really quite well. They were a bit louder than they are with other teachers, a little bit more unruly, but they were still happy to do the work I wanted them to do, and really, it went well.
I'm so happy with this work experience. I'll try at least one other school after this, but I am pretty sure that I wil actually change my course of studies to primary school teacher. How cool is that? :D
Tonight, we'll go to the semester shake-in uni party. Let's hope it's better tan the shake out last semester, which was boring as hell.
