Building a playlist for nano is pretty time-consuming, but also a lot of fun. never did it before, usually I write in silence, but getting into a futuristic/cyberpunky feeling for writing the stuff requires a little help, so music it is.

And it's actually very cool, because I'm discovering music that I didn't really know before.
The gracious liriaen (who wrote a very awesome cyberpunk potter-au before, and works with music, so she knows her stuff and everything, yay!) provided me with a list of artists and soundtracks to try out, and I found very fitting stuff on the OSTs of Ergo Proxy, FFVII Advent Children and Ghost in the Shell, as well as nice music by Radiohead, Front Line Assembly, Goldie's 'Saturnzreturn' and - still to be listened to - Scorn. Will also sort through Daft Punk, maybe a little Muse, and on advice of hello_nicky, VNV Nation and Welle:Erdball. Lot's of music I normally wouldn't listen to, but really awesome stuff among it.

Very cool, this. Can't wait to actually use them and start writing.

Am off to my grandparent's 60 year wedding anniversary first, though. They finally found a date to hold the actual celebration, since my gran is better and everything.

There might be snippets, talk about RPF, whining and all the usual stuff. I suppose I shouldn't spam all of you with it, so, filter.

Just discovered this a few hours ago, and I might be the last person to do so, but then again, I might not be - I guess it's better known in blogs than in journals, and maybe rather to internet-geeky people rather than to fandom-geeky ones.
Anyway, you might not have seen this, and that would be a shame.

Some guy called Kutiman has taken loads of youtube-videos of people playing various instruments and singing and made it into new songs by cutting it up and trowing it all together. The resulting songs/videos are rather awesome, even if not all of them are really the music I would normally listen to. It's very interesting to watch how all the layers come together, anyway, and some of those people are pretty good.

vielen vielen Dank für die Juli-Konzertkarten, Nicole und ich hatten einen tollen Abend. ^___^

Die Vorband war ein wenig seltsam (sie klangen wie 'Echt' mit viel viel mehr Bass, und trugen alle die gleichen geringelten T-Shirts. Wenn schon einheitlich, dann doch was sinnvolles...)

Juli war dafür cool, und der Drummer, wie auch immer er hieß, sehr geil. (als Drummer. Und auch als Kerl zum angucken nicht zu verachten... ^^)

Wir hatten also viel Spaß, haben uns entspannt am hinteren Ende der Menge rumgetrieben, statt uns von den Fans zerquetschen zu lassen, haben mitgegröhlt, wenn wir das Lied kannten (Nicolle kannte erschreckent viele Songtexte komplett auswendig!) und hatten Spaß - das hatte ich schon, oder?

Zum Krönenden Abschluss des Abend habe ich mir dann noch einen vollen Becher KiBa über die Hose gekippt. Bäh! Bananensaft ist ja doch eher sämig, und das auf den Klamotten, sowas von nicht schön.
