So, we went to the cinema, watched 'Eragon'. Overall, it's probably a nice movie. But, um... well.
The sound was bad, because there was some fault in the - well, the soundtrack. (Die Tonspur hat geleiert. Mein Langenscheidt kennt leiern nicht. WTF?)
So in the middle of the most drama~h-tic scenes the sound would go all wonky and it was not even close to dramatic any longer but rather - stupid. And hilarious. We (Tai and me, he sat next to me) laughed so much during that movie, at the most unfitting scenes...
So, they go all 'OMG, you did this so much earlier than all the other dragon-riders before' and 'the magic is in your instincts' and 'you are the chosen one' and we were laughing - as to not be crying, in my case. Was there any cliché this movie (and this book? haven't read it so far...) did not use? I'm so sure this cousin will turn up again. And the elves and dwarfs - is there no fantasy-world without those? They didn't even play a role, but they had to be mentioned none the less.
The dragon was pretty. It was rather strange that it grew up in about two days and that one moment it was too young to breath fire and the next it did just that. Oh, and the name. Blue dragon named 'Azura Saphira' (still, blue...)? Come on... -.- But it was pretty nonetheless, and I liked that it had feathery wings instead of, um, wings like bats, as dragons tend to have.
Also, the fighting-dress of that feather-girl? So realistic... Yeah, I'm going into battle, but I just have to stick metal feathers in my hair that look as if they'll fall out any moment just so the hero can tell me that I 'look... ready to fight'. Sure.
So, um, yes, we had a rather good time as we were laughing our asses of - I suppose we annoyed some other viewers, but hell, it was so stupid and hilarious and then the 'when will I see you again?' and the music was all wheeeoouuuuuuuuuooooaaaaaaoooouuu.... from major to minor and back and... ugh. Leierig. >.<
And the horses seemed to be in some kind of poke-ball. They were there as soon as you needed them, but utterly gone for the rest. (One scene, the 'wise mentor whatshisname was riding alone with a huge blue dragon over his head that just screamed 'I'm here, come and get me!!', and the next he had the second horse next to him again. Sure thing.)
I liked the guy with the crossbow in black clothes, whatever his name ws, even as he's the neglected son of this traitor-dragon-rider and has a stu-y past - not as much as eragon himself, god beware, but stu-y enough. poor thing... But I liked him anyway, for some reason.
So, that was that, was it?
Coding, now.
