LJ has a feed for the latest images posted publicly here:
http://www.livejournal.com/stats/latest-img.bml

Someonehas set up a community to scrape off any image that is posted thatmeets LJ icon requirements and post them to a community.

Now, the part that's the most annoying is that the images are hotlinked from the image source.

You can opt out of your posts being included in the latest feed by going to the Admin Console and type in these commands:

Journal Users:
set latest_optout yes

Community maintainers:
set for "community name" latest_optout yes

okay... kannst du das vielleicht nochmal kurz erklären? möglichst auf deutsch? ich versteh irgendwie nur bahnhof >___<"

Okay, es gbt also diesen Feed, in dem alle Bilder, die nicht-Flocked auf LJ gepostet werden, drin sind [zusammen mit dem post, aus dem sie stammen].
dann gibt es seiten, die diesen feed auswerten und die bilder posten. wenn du also bilder z.b. auf deinem eigenen webspace hochlädst, ist das bandwidth-diebstal, da sich leute deine bilder angucken können, ohne den originalzusammenhang zu kennen.
in dieser icon-communtiy werden nun viele viele icons aus diesem feed herausgefiltert und gepostet (mit link zum entsprechenden post, aber das interessiert vermutlich die wenigsten).

wenn du jetzt also z.b. selbstgebaute icons oder eigene fanarts oder sonstwas in deinem lj postest und nicht willst, dass es auf diversen seiten im netz landet, weil es in diesem lj-feed ist, solltest du in die admin-console gehen und den anweisungen da oben folgen.

nya, interessiert mich nicht, da ich photobucket nutze und eh keine icons oder FAs hochlade ^^ aber danke für's erklären :)
