Wasn't really serious about it ;) I guess I was simply delighted to see someone else on my list watching it as well, and sometimes I express my delight in confusing ways. Will now proceed to watch. Uuuh.. :)
all in all, i thought the fighting and the confrontation with the baddies and all that was over too quickly. the pacing of the episode was just weird.
and the reveal was... yeah. no. i dunno either. on the one hand, it's cool with the name and everything. on the other - wah? i thought river was something /more/ than that, somehow.
but also, hah! they don't meet completely backwards, because now he's met baby!river and 10-year-old!river in the spacesuit.
but still. i'm confused, and might have to rewatch the season to get less confused.
I am utterly and totally confused. I admit I did like all the rallying of old allies (and I am in love with Madame Vastra and Jenny), but... what? However, what will be revealed about River in the future can be everything, seeing as they have made sure that she can do almost anything, what with being part timelord, but... what? I mean.. River as the daughter.. and River as the future wife.. this is somehow.. I don't know. Confusing. Mind-baffling. The whole meeting completely backwards thing seemed a bit off to me anyways, and now even more (seeing as he is his own past self at the moment or something). Also, I am an even bigger fan of Rory. Centurion!Rory is a treat (Rory is always a treat, but then even more).
I guess I will not only rewatch this season but also the past season, because the connections intrigue me and I wonder how they will explain the whole silence will fall thing and how the silence managed the cracks and everything. Bla. I have to confess this series makes me think more than most other series, because to get everything you have to seriously THINK to keep up with all the connections. And now cliffhanger on till september. This is cruel D:

the part-timelord part confused me, too. just because she was 'made' in the vortex? come on. that's too easy. an how the hell did the crazy lady know about that and get her hands on amy, anyway? i'm still not buying the 'wife'-thing completeely, mostly because iirc that's just what other characters assumed, not what he or she admitted to. but yes, daughter. weeeeird. srsly weird.
also YES!! to competent angry centurion-rory being awesomely awesome. love him.
they are meeting mostly backwards, but really just completely out of order. i'll have to watch the episode with the little girl in the spacesuit again, to compare with new knowledge. and i'm also interested in the silence thing, but i just rewatched the 5th season.

Oh yes yes! At first I was kind of confused, because I took her for the one angry remaining Silurian sister from The Hungry Earth/Cold Blood and couldn't understand what the hell had happened why would she help the doctor and why what? I did love her victorian inspired battle outfit. Oh yes. <3

Hm.. I am indeed assuming she is his wife, or an equivalent form (I somehow can't imagine him to marry), and I think she is imprisoned for having killed him when she was a child. Also, completely out of order meeting, yes, very very confusing.
Yes, I wonder what this is with the leaving of Amy and Rory and if he will come back to get them at the start of next episode. Hm.. he is quite erratic, but I do love him for it. I guess he can't quite get the fact that not everyone thinks in leaps as he does and no, not everyone understands his reasons.

Oh, and on a completely unrelated note to another fandom: have you read the new synopsis for Mastiff on Tammy's page? I mean, most of it was known, but I didn't know that tiny bit of information of Beka having a fiancé.
yeah - none of the friends he called on did appeare before in the new series, did they? (or in the old, actually? haven't watched old who, really...) that was a bit confusing.

At least not in the Eleventh episodes, can't speak about any others though. I simply assumed they had appeared in the past. Or maybe they will do so in the future?
