Oh no not again

My desktop pc started sounding a bit like an electric razor yesterday. Will have to take it to some kind of computer shop tomorrow to figure out what's wrong with it.
I think it's most likely some fan or something that's had enough work after, hm, how old is the thing again? I think I bought it in '04.
Wish me luck that it'll get better - if this one breaks down as well, I won't have a pc till my notebook is repaired. Should only be a few days now, thankfully. And I was right - it was the screen backlight. Why didn't the guys in the Welsh computer shop see that? Idiots.
Anyway, I'd like to keep my desktop, it's memory capacities are way better than the laptops, even though it is getting a bit old.
EDIT: Figured out what's wrong, at least. It's the fan on the graphics card. Lets' hope that is fixable or replacable, without me needing to buy a whole new graphics card.
