Found at
painless_j's and copying:
LJ has a feed for the latest images posted publicly here:
http://www.livejournal.com/stats/latest-img.bml
Someonehas set up a community to scrape off any image that is posted thatmeets LJ icon requirements and post them to a community.
Now, the part that's the most annoying is that the images are hotlinked from the image source.
You can opt out of your posts being included in the latest feed by going to the Admin Console and type in these commands:
Journal Users:
set latest_optout yes
Community maintainers:
set for "community name" latest_optout yes
The community mentioned above is
iconscraper. [/end copy]
And because pj wanted me too, I'm copying the comment by
swansong33 as well, detailing how to file a complaint on this.

I think it would also be a good idea for everyone to file an abusereport on the community as well. I'm a licensed attorney here in thegreat state of Illinois, and while copyright law over internet contentoriginally posted and accessible to the public is definitely a grayarea, the LJ TOS aren't. From a legal perspective, here's what I woulddo to play the LJ game.
When you report the abuse, everyoneshould reference the specific TOS that has been violated. The best betsare going to be TOS XVI(2) (harm to minors) & (6) (posting contentthat infringes on...other proprietary rights of any party). Provide alink to the post where any porny pics are shown (for harm to minors). Also discuss the fact that hotlinking to journals will lead minors intojournals with adult content, but there are no warnings from the post inthe community. Also reference the fact that under TOS XIV(1) (JournalContent) LJ itself recognizes the orignal poster's proprietary rightsto the content/pic by stating that all content posted under a user'sjounal is their property. Also link to the comments where the communitymaintainers specifically disregard other users' requests to removetheir icon from the community. Proprietary rights give the owner theright to decide how their work is distributed. Proprietary rights doNOT have to be copyright/trademark, so don't talk about those issues.
For those looking, here's the link to LJ stuff about reporting abuse: http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=105
Just my two cents while wearing my "lawyer hat."
