Always Hardcore!
Jul. 21st, 2009 02:15 pmI always forget how cool Hustle is until I watch it again. Does anybody even know that one?
It's a lot like Leverage, plot-wise, but without the random Robin Hood element thrown in. They are conning rich assholes just for the fun of it, mostly. It usually breaks the fourth wall for a scene or two in a very fun way, and I really really really like Ash 'Three Socks' Morgan. He's so awesome. The rest of the team is very cool, too.
It's really not a show I'd want fanfic or anything for, though. For some reason, I always keep it to myself when I find one of those, a show, book, manga, anything, where I just really enjoy reading/watching. I mostly don't talk about them and don't find people who might enjoy them, too. It's weird. A bit like 'I discovered this and it's mine, and if I talk to people about it, they might like it too, and it won't be just mine any longer.' Or something like that. Which is silly, because usually, other people really enjoy that thing, too. I did it with REAL, and Nodame Cantabile, and Victorian Romance Emma, and Kitchen Confidential, and... probably several other things as well. Hm.

lenija has been here since Saturday and we're having a very good time. Had an epic singstar session yesterday. Belting out Scooter is so much fun. "Yeeeeeah-eah-eah! Al-ways hard-core!!"
We're also plotting her polybigbang fic. So far, I really really want to read it. Really!!
Tomorrow, I'm off to visitdat_evilwhispy and JP. Maybe Phil will be there, too. They live pretty close to where my grandma is still in hospital, so I'll pay her a visit on Thursday, and probably help Whispy a bit with renovating their new flat or something. We'll see.
And now I'm off to the shower. Can't sit around in pajamas all day...
