Why do I even bother with the Autobahn? There's at least 30km of road work sites on the A7, and another 10 on the A39. It took me over 2 hours from Kassel to Braunschweig.
Just now I came back via Landstraßen and was faster. Yeah. Except not, because there was a huuuuge traffic jam all over the city, and it was another 45 minutes from entering the city to getting to my flat. Just great.

Navigating was easier, though, because I bought the birthday present from my grandpa today: a satnav/gps thingy. So useful!
I pride myself in being able to read maps quite well, but driving and reading maps at the same time, when I don't even know where exactly I'm going? This is way way easier. Yay!

Also, my PotC fic 'Zehn mal zehn Jahre' made it into this month's 'YUAL'-list, which is the mod-approved reclist at Animexx, as far as I can tell. Let's see if any feedback comes of it.
It's very cool, though, because it's not exactly long, or plotty, or a fandom that sounds like it would be a big thing at the animexx, especially not a few years after the movies.
