I think I liked Lavender, actually. She was way way way over the top, but somehow, I still liked her, in all her annoying girly bubbly glory. *g*
I was so sad about the Burrow burning... I was wondering if it had happened and I had managed to forget it, but it was just the Arthur-bit-by-Nagini thing in the books right? (was that HBP or DH?)
I kind of liked the fact that they mentioned Rergulus. The books had him come up in a more subtle way, but they had to get him in there somehow, so he wouldn't be completely out of left field, once he gets important...
And you're right, the actors are quite good. I loved McGonagall in this one - and the previous ones, but she stood out to me this time. I'm still not convinced by Luna. She's too pretty and perky, somehow. And her hair is too white-blond. I think 'my' Ginny had a bit more wavy hair, not completely straight, but yeah, she's really good for the part. I don't actually like Fred and George for the roles, though. I'm particular about the Weasleys (and so sad that they kicked Bill and Charley out completely, and wrote Percy out of GoF, and stupid stuff like that. :(), and Fred and George are supposed to be of the smaller, stockier Weasley variety. But well, I suppose finding red headed twin actors was hard enough.
