Wow, 3 hours is way too long for a presentation. I'm very glad I have a professor who keeps an eye on her watch and tells people that they have to hurry a bit. ^^
Depending on where you're from, "today" can actually sound like "to die", by the way. It doesn't have to be wrong ... or did they do it the other way round?
