just a few days left...

...of the semester break. :(

at least I got up at a sane hour today. well, okay, 'sane': at 6am. that's way better than the early afternoon hours I have gotten used to over the last weeks, anyway.

so yeah, yesterday I was working as a bio-burger salesperson, and earned 50€ for it. yay. I was completely dead on my feet afterwards, but oh well. at least I was tired enough to be out as a light at an hour where that is somewhat useful. :)

today I'm doing insane amounts of laundry, and also started reading one of the required books for the semester.

weird thing about that, though. It's for the 'canadian dystopias' seminar, and you know, when I hear 'dystopia' I expect something vagiely science fiction/speculative fiction-y. This, Generation X by Douglas Coupland, is set about 1990 in Palm Springs (or at least I think it was 'now' when the book was written. Feels very much like it.) It has a vage dystopian worldview to it, but otherwise... I dunno. It's definitely not what I was expecting when I read the course description. So far, it's also a little boring. Well, at least it's only 180 pages. Should be doable by thursday.
