So I am now in posession of lots and lots of DVDs with all the Old Who eps on them, and have no clue where to start. I'd love to get to know all the Doctors and maybe even all the companions, before I decide which Doctor and/or Companion to get to know better first.

So I would love a list of the 'best' episode of each Doctor and Companion. Maybe there is one somewhere, and I just couldn't find it, or maybe you have one that you think everyone should have watched.

So far, I know Nine and Ten, a little bit of One (first two episodes), and a little bit of Four (first episode he was in). Also, Eight (the movie, and all the audios. Not sure if I want to read the books, yet).

Any reccs, or pointers towards reccs, would be lovely. :)

Also, [community profile] ficathon_de is holding a new challenge.
It's about coming up with ideas for novels/novel-length fic, and having someone else write snippets for that idea. The concept is very cool, so I hope it works out the way it's meant to, with what gets written really being just snapshots of a larger, but if you're okay with that, come and play. Any fandoms - including crossovers, rps, originals, weird things -, ratings, kinds of ships are allowed. :)
It's all in German, but if you're good with that, come and play. :)

sorry to bother again already, but, shit, today's episode of doctor who is fucking scary!
didn't have this kind of reaction to any of the other scary episodes, hush or silence in the library or empty child or something, but with 'midnight', i actually had to pause the video, because shit, scary!

am still in pause in the middle of the ep... >_<

will get through it, but damn, this psycological horror sure is getting to me.

also, i don't aprove of leavin donna ehind for the ep. would have been less scary with her along, i#d say, and also, why have a companion if she stays behind? meh. donna! *clings to her* make the thingy go awaaaay!

The Doctor and Mr. Jones, by Copperbadge.

Brilliant. Just plain that. It's a Torchwood/Dr. Who crossover, features some Jack/Ianto, but not in an OTP kind of way or anything, feels like it belongs right in that universe, and is brilliantly executed. And really, the premise makes so much sense! (I squeed once I got it. Which took embarassingly long, but now, I won't be able to get that idea out of my head, cause - yeah, so much sense!)

Summary: The Doctor thought he was alone in the universe -- but Torchwood is about to prove him wrong.
[spoiler] This does feature Ianto as a time-lord. Cause, you know, pocketwatch. *glee* [end spoiler]

EDIT: The link is to the first part of five, ther are no internal links, so you should go to the journal for the rest. (Maybe he'll tag them later...?)

Yes, I should be doing stuff right now, but this was on the flist and I couldn't resist. Back to Meinecke.
